Green Eggs and Ham

Guess who came to breakfast on Saturday morning??  If you guessed  Dr. Seuss' favorite Cat in the Hat you are right! I  had a piece of country ham in the fridge that needed to be eaten and I thought , "How about Green Eggs and Ham for Friday's bedtime story and then green eggs and ham for Saturday's breakfast"!  Genius I thought - but to be on the safe side I threw in some french toast  too just in case they didn't find the green eggs appetizing.
Do you see Madi's little foot peaking at you through the glass table?
I'll have to admit that the green eggs didn't look so pretty but it did make for a fun morning and smiling kids - which was just what I was hoping for AND I used that piece of ham instead of throwing it away - hooray for not wasting!

Oh yes, you see cherries! I got extra creative with the morning juice. I added a little sprite to the OJ and then some cherries on a long toothpick. The only thing is they both wrinkled their nose when they tasted it!!!! :( Point lost for mom. However I credited it back to myself when I realized that just meant that I got to drink them myself! Hooray for picky kids - i think!
